Packing Hacks

Love going on vacation, but have issues packing? Here are 10 of my favorite packing hacks that will change the way you pack forever.

(1) Roll clothes instead of folding them. Not only does this save more space in your suitcase, but it also reduces the amount of wrinkles and creases. No one like ironing on vacation or business trips.

(2) Dirty shoes? Put shoes in the hotel shower cap before placing them in your bag.

(3) Shoes take up a lot of space, so regain some of it by stuffing socks in your shoes.

(4) Put your belt in your shirt collar to help prevent it from creasing.

(5) Add a dryer sheet to your suitcase to keep your clothes smelling fresh.

(6) Keep dirty clothes in a plastic bag to keep the stink away from your clean clothes. As an added tip, add scented soap or a dryer sheet to keep the smell down.

(7) Store liquids such as hair cream or foundation in a contact case. It takes up less space than the bottles and is spill proof.

(8) Pack one color scheme to mix and match clothing easier. This allows you to pack fewer pieces for the same number of outfits.

(10) Wear your heaviest shoes (and coat) on plane to save space in luggage. (On my trip to Iceland, I wore my boots and heavy coat on the plane)
